All of our items have been purchased by the owners and family in Kathmandu, Nepal and the surrounding region. We visit factories and villages personally to select items and have established long term exclusive relationships.
OUR PLEDGE TO YOU:
Many of our hand-selected items are one of a kind objects and some are very old. While we also carry recently made objects, we never misrepresent the origin, the materials used or the place of production. Please ask our knowledgeable sales persons about origin and use.
We do not do business with any manufacturers that use child labor. Because we generally do not purchase products from a middleman, we are able to insure that our artisans receive fair trade prices. We believe in helping to foster economic development and do not want to make money by taking advantage of those less fortunate then ourselves.
OUR PRICES:
We have been able to keep our prices very low. Those who visit us and have traveled to the region have confirmed that our prices are lower that what you would pay in shops in Kathmandu and elsewhere. We are proud of the fact that our prices are at least half of what you might pay for similar items in other shops in the U.S. in New York and other cities.
WE SUPPORT THE SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY:
Please let us know if you are part of the Sangha or have some other affiliation to a spiritual group. We regularly offer discounts on some of our ritual items, master quality thankas and statues.
NEW ITEMS ON THE WAY:
Our owners travel frequently and are constantly on the lookout for new objects and art. Our owners are now traveling in the Buddhist countries of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Mayanmar in search of antiquities and handicrafts for HTT. A shipment of items from these areas is expected this summer.
